This course can either be delivered in our Training Site or we can come to your premises.
This is a 6 hour course usually delivered in one day.
This certificate is valid for a period of 3 years.
This course is designed to provide its learners with the knowledge and skills to administer basic life support and to use an AED in an emergency situation.
The use of early Defibrillation and CPR are vital in the Chain of Survival flowing a casualty having a cardiac arrest. The purpose of the course is to teach our learners how to use the AED safely and properly.
This qualification meets the HSE and Resuscitation Council training recommendations for AED use within the workplace.
This qualification consists of:
SESSION 1 – Understanding basic life support requirements
SESSION 2 – To demonstrate basic life support techniques and automated external defibrillator use in line with Current national guidelines
SESSION 3 – To demonstrate post-resuscitation procedures
SESSION 4 – To carry out basic user maintenance and troubleshoot problems with an automated external defibrillator
SESSION 5 – Understand the safe use of an automated external defibrillator
