This is a 3 hour course usually delivered in a morning or afternoon.
This will re-fresh your qualification and your certificate will be valid for 3 years.
This course is designed for anyone needing to re-accredit their First aid at Work Qualification. This qualification covers a wider range of subjects in addition to the Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work Course. This course has been produced in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982 purposes.
This course is designed to provide and refresh its learner’s knowledge and skills to administer emergency first aid in high risk work environments in order to save the life of a casualty and inform Trainees of any new legislation or updates.
This qualification provides Learners with the skills and knowledge to deal with First Aid situations in high risk work environment or for workplaces who have higher numbers of employees.
This qualification consists of:
SESSION 1 – To be able to manage an incident
SESSION 2 – To recognise and determine life threatening conditions
SESSION 3 – To treat an unconscious casualty
SESSION 4 – To competently perform CPR on an adult
SESSION 5 – To recognise and treat for shock
SESSION 6 – To have the knowledge to control bleeding
